By downloading, installing, or using Fud AI ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

Fud AI is a nutrition tracking application that uses artificial intelligence to estimate the nutritional content of food from photos and text descriptions. The app provides tools for logging meals, tracking weight, monitoring nutritional intake, and viewing educational content about nutrition and health.

2. AI-Powered Estimates

Nutritional information provided by Fud AI is generated by AI (Google Gemini 2.5 Flash) and is estimated, not exact. These estimates should be used as general guidance only. Fud AI is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. Always consult a healthcare professional or registered dietitian for dietary decisions, especially if you have medical conditions, allergies, or specific dietary requirements.

3. Account & Authentication

  • You may sign in using Sign in with Apple to enable cloud sync and subscription features
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID
  • You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app's Profile settings

4. Subscriptions & Payments

  • Fud AI offers a free tier (3 AI scans) and premium subscription plans (Monthly and Yearly)
  • Subscriptions are auto-renewable and managed through the Apple App Store
  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iOS Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions
  • No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods; refund requests must be directed to Apple

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
  • Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality
  • Use the app to collect data about other users
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the app or its content

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, AI integrations, educational articles, and branding in Fud AI are the intellectual property of Apoorv Darshan and are protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without written permission.

7. Health Disclaimer

Fud AI is a nutrition tracking tool, not a medical application. The app does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Nutritional estimates are AI-generated approximations and may not be accurate for all foods. Users with medical conditions, eating disorders, allergies, or specific dietary needs should consult qualified healthcare professionals before relying on the app's data. The minimum calorie floor of 1,200 kcal/day is a general safety guideline, not medical advice.

8. Apple Health Integration

By enabling Apple Health integration, you authorize the app to read and write health data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can revoke this access at any time through iOS Settings > Health > Data Access.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fud AI and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

10. Availability

We strive to keep Fud AI available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The app requires an internet connection for AI food analysis and iCloud sync. Offline functionality is limited to viewing previously logged data.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through an app update.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
